Due to the economic crisis, our Parish experienced a 75% reduction in tithes and offerings. Naturally, our ability to pay our mortagage was affected. We continued to pay the interest to the bank when, without any explaination, our Loan Officer was removed from the case and we were issued a Notice of Foreclosure by First National Bank of Spartanburg. We have discovered that just before this action, the Bank itself experienced difficulties. We need your help to save our church. ( And Pray for the Bank as well...)We house not only the worship center but the parish hall, 2 residences, a counseling center and a emergency food pantry. We need 2,500 families to contribute $100.00 to retire the mortgage. This must be done before November 1, 2009! If you can give more do so, if not please give whatever amount you can.
